9 Month Photo Shoot

Sometimes I forget to sit down and write some blog posts...so sorry! Don't worry though we are still loving our little family, and Will is still growing at lightning speed!!

Nine months! Wow! I just can't comprehend how the time is flying. This is probably my favorite stage so far. Will is such a character!! He is crawling around super fast much to the dismay of Daisy and Duke. He is pulling up on everything and even getting brave and letting go to turn or stand (yes I have about 40 mild heart attacks a day). He says ack, ack, ack (quack, quack, quack) and uck, uck, uck (yuck, yuck, yuck). He swims in the bathtub and splashes water everywhere. He is such a funny little boy.

He is still a little piggy. He has started to only like baby food from a pouch. His favorite picky foods are green beans, blueberries, and cheerios. He still wants nothing to do with a sippy cup, but he will drink from my water bottle!

Matt has started reading Will his bedtime stories. I will have to dedicate a whole post to this, but he spreads some of Will's favorite books on the ground and lets Will pick 3 to read. It is the cutest thing. I melt EVERY time.

Anyways, the real reason for the post...look at this sweet, handsome boy!!

Four Fabulous Years

Matt and I celebrated our anniversary July18. I can't believe we have been married for 4 years! It is amazing/scary how quickly time is flying. We normally go out to a fancy dinner to celebrate our anniversary, but this year we decided to just have a low key anniversary as a family. 

The day of our anniversary Will and I were actually flying home from Ohio (more on that later). We got back late in the afternoon right as a storm was hitting. We had to sit on the plane for a little while because of the bad weather. I really wish I had a picture of Will's face when he finally looked up and saw Matt at the airport. It was one of the sweetest moments, and it almost brought us both to tears. We got our bags and headed to dinner. It was down pouring!! We were determined to not let this gross weather ruin our family date to Las Delicias! We had a great time eating and catching up. 

On the way home from dinner Matt surprised me with a trip to go buy our new Dyson vacuum!! I am not that girl that gets upset about getting a vacuum on her anniversary. With a crawling baby and two cats we were so past needing a better vacuum cleaner! 

After Will went to sleep we exchanged cards. I ordered Matt's card from Cardstore. The cover of the card had spots for a bunch of pictures. I went through and chose some oldies and then some current pictures. It was so much fun to look at pictures and reminisce. 

Saturday morning we headed to Gibson's for donuts then to My Big Backyard. Matt thought instead of buying flowers we could go look at flowers! We had so much fun exploring with Will.

Pomp and Circumstance

We had such a good time with our friends on the 4th! Everyone knows I love any reason to have people over...especially when there is a holiday or theme involved! We are so lucky to have such a great group of friends here in Memphis. Here are some photos from our cookout.

8 Month Photo Shoot

WOW! This little boy does not want to be a baby anymore! He is constantly on the go and most of the time doesn't even want to slow down to eat. He is crawling, pulling up (and occasionally letting go), and making all kinds of noises. He loves to be entertained by us, but he also doesn't mind some time alone with his toys. He has a blast swimming in his baby pool and being outside (although he's not too sure about the grass). Our little piggy is also loving his picky foods. He can scarf down some puffs and mum mums. We have also started sharing some of our food with him. He enjoys sweet potato fries and wheat bread the most...broccoli was not a hit! We just love our little guy so much.

We hope you are having a great Fourth of July! We spent the afternoon with some great friends!  Sending out hugs and prayers to all those who serve and have served that keep us safe in "the land of the free, and the home of the brave"!

Five years ago today we got engaged!! I will never forget that night! I love you Matt! I'm so glad you chose me!
