Summer: Part 4 (DC)

After visiting Matt's family in VA, we headed to Fairfax (outside of DC) to see my Grandma Jane and Alf. They are some of the neatest people. We loved hearing about all of their travels, and they happen to be awesome tour guides!! I still cannot believe I forgot to get a picture of Will with them. It makes me so sad! We had a quick visit, but we had a great time.

 It was so sunny!!

After leaving Fairfax we decided to stop in Knoxville, TN and have a mini family vacation. We just couldn't make Will do two days in a row in the car. We had a great time! Saturday morning we walked to Tennessee's stadium from our hotel. We got some looks in our Clemson gear, but we didn't care! The rest of our time we took it easy and ate a lot of good food. We tried to take Will to the pool, but the water was freezing. He was not a fan.

Well that was our Summer!! I sure am welcoming Fall and the cooler temperatures! Can't wait to make some more memories. Pumpkins, apples, leave piles...here we come!

Summer: Part 3 (VA)

After visiting in SC, we headed to Richmond, Virginia. It was a rough drive considering we didn't get back from the Clemson game until 3:30 am. We got on the road after a few hours of sleep...yuck. We drove through terrible storms, but made it to Matt's Uncle Bob and Aunt Marie's house that evening. Matt's dad flew in from Washington, and Matt's grandmother recently moved to Virginia so we got to visit with a lot of family! We did some touristy things (Monument Ave and Children's Museum) and relaxed. It was great to visit with family.

If you need a laugh...

Summer: Part 2 (SC)

In late August, we went to stay in Greenville for about 10 days. We got to visit with some of Matt's family and see Nonna and Geordie. Then Matt had to travel again for work so Will and I hung out at Mimi and GGL's house. We had a lot of lunch dates, and I had some girl's nights (thanks Mimi)! Matt and I went to the Clemson vs Georgia game (Go Tigers!), and then we headed to Virginia the next day (Part 3). It was so nice to be in Greenville, and we had a great time at the game!

Summer: Part 1 (Ohio)

In July, Will and I went to Ohio for a week to stay with Aunt Melanie (Mimi and Uncle Daniel were there too). Most of my mom's side of the family lives in Ohio and had not met Will yet! We had a great time. Will was awesome on his first flight. On the way there he entertained everyone until he passed out as we were landing. On the way back he slept almost the entire flight. The first few days were beautiful, but unfortunately we brought the Memphis heat with us. We stayed busy running errands, helping with the bait shop, and visiting with family.

Ready for his first flight!

MDO

Sorry we've been MIA! I have a lot of pictures to post...I'm feeling a Summer: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 coming on...maybe tomorrow I'll work on that.

Last Wednesday Will started MDO (Mother's Day Out). Since he was born I kept thinking to myself that when he got a little older it would be easier to do housework...oh naive first time mommy...well it wasn't. I decided that it would be beneficial to both Will and myself to get him into an MDO program once a week. We absolutely love it!

Hopefully I have an easier time leaving him tomorrow. Last Wednesday was full of tears...mine (mostly). His teachers told me he started to get a little upset 5 minutes after I left when he realized I wasn't there. It was so hard to leave him even though I knew it was good for both of us. Here are some pictures from his first day!
